Defined Term RDFRG-02 · Definition 17

Certification Status

A provider holds one of three statuses under this standard. Certified means the provider has been assessed and meets all minimum requirements. Not Certified means the provider has been assessed and does not meet one or more minimum requirements. Not Assessed means the provider has not submitted to or completed an assessment under this standard. Only Certified and Not Certified are assessment outcomes. Not Assessed is the default state and carries no implication about a provider's dog friendliness or lack of it.

Roch Interpretation

Not Assessed does not mean non compliant. It means the property has not gone through the process. Do not conflate absence of certification with failure.

Examples

Compliant A hotel that has completed its assessment and met all seven requirements is listed on standards.rochdog.com with the status Certified and its assessment date displayed.
Not compliant A hotel that has not submitted to assessment claims to hold Roch Dog certification on its website.
