RDFS-02 — Dog Friendly Standard
Certification Requirements
The seven minimum requirements an accommodation must satisfy to be certified as dog friendly. Assessment is strict pass/fail. Fail any single requirement and the outcome is Not Certified.

Published Pet Policy
The accommodation's dog policy must be publicly available before booking, accessible within two clicks of the homepage, and consistent with any claims made on third party platforms.

In Room Welfare Provision
Real food and water bowls must be provided in rooms used by dogs. Bowls must be stable, non disposable, and of appropriate size.

Shared Indoor Guest Area Access
Dogs must be allowed in at least one indoor shared guest area used for purposes other than transit, such as a lounge, bar, restaurant, or cafe.

Fee Transparency
Any dog fee must be disclosed in the published policy with the amount and structure stated. Zero is a valid answer. Fees disclosed only at check in are not conformant.
R5
Deposit Disclosure
The accommodation must state in the published policy whether a damage deposit applies to dog stays. This cannot be left blank.
R6
Deposit Amount Transparency
Where a damage deposit applies, the deposit amount must be stated in the published policy. Zero is a valid answer.

Dog Capacity Limit
The maximum number of dogs permitted per room must be stated. This cannot be left blank.
